WCCF Storybook is a leadership initiative of the Foundation designed to connect Foundation donors and local charities through storytelling.
Stories that elicit the strongest emotions are those that are most likely to motivate action such as giving or volunteering. Those are the stories we seek to tell through WCCF Storybook.
Any charity providing services in Washington County is invited to participate by forwarding a human interest story to marketing@wccf.net. Stories should be limited to 500 words and include at least one compelling photo.
Wednesday, July 24
3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Washington County Community Foundation
CARE Education Center
1253 Route 519 | Eighty Four, PA 15330
To assist charities in preparing compelling stories for WCCF Storybook
and other uses, we are hosting a Storytelling Workshop, facilitated by
veteran storyteller Dorothy Tecklenburg, and assisted by WCCF Team
Member, Suzanne Grove.
To provide for the best learning experience, registration for this in-person workshop is limited.
The workshop is now full. If there is sufficient interest, we may schedule another Storytelling workshop later this year. If you would like to receive notice if a new Storytelling workshop is scheduled, please complete this form.

“L” is for Landmark.
Throughout Washington County, this signature “L” of the Washington County History & Landmarks Foundation celebrates our history, culture, and architecture while amplifying awareness of local preservation.
Hundreds of wooden and metal “L” plaques adorn privately and publicly owned structures. We pass them every day - knowingly and unknowingly. These landmarks - inducers of curiosity - preserve stories, secrets, and family legacies. They call attention to the growth of our community and illustrate how local architecture evolved.
