"My experience with WCCF has grown, in large part, because of the Foundation’s valuable partnerships in events with Washington Financial Bank, and the Washington County Bar Association. Every interaction I have had with WCCF has been a thoroughly positive experience.

Additionally, WCCF Gives has become my favorite annual event to help support numerous charities right here in Washington County. It has helped me personally grow my support of so many worthwhile programs throughout the years.

I often receive heartfelt acknowledgments from charities and know I am truly helping WCCF make a difference. I am humbled and honored to be included among such a compassionate and prestigious group." ~ Harry A. Stiffler, Jr.

"By aligning with the foundation, First Commonwealth’s mission is to improve the financial lives of our neighbors and their businesses." ~ Bruce J. Goodman

"The Washington County Community Foundation has been wonderful to work with and has provided numerous options on informing my clients on how they can properly plan and complete their philanthropic goals during lifetime and testamentary." ~ Charles B. Hadad

The James H. McCune Acorn Society was established to recognize professional advisors who have helped clients achieve their charitable objectives through the Washington County Community Foundation.

It honors the WCCF's Founding Chairman of the Board, James H. McCune, a local attorney who has worked tirelessly to promote the Community Foundation to fellow attorneys and other advisors.

Cumulatively, Society members have been instrumental in bringing charitable gifts to the Foundation totaling well over $10 million.

"Of all the charities I have been involved with over the years, I am especially proud of my involvement with the Washington County Community Foundation because it has become a philanthropic leader in our community.” ~ James H. McCune
