Eighty Four, PA – The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is pleased to announce that it has awarded $500 board development grants to seven local charities to strengthen their leadership and governance. The funding will enable these organizations to engage Nonprofit SideKick, a local consulting firm, for a two-hour board training session focused on the duties, roles, and responsibilities of board members.

The grant recipients include Always B Smiling, Bradford House Historical Association, Donora Public Library, Healing Bridges, Trevor Popeck Foundation, United Way of Washington County, and Washington County Watershed Alliance. This support is part of WCCF’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the effectiveness and impact of local nonprofits.

“Nonprofit SideKick will work with each organization to develop a customized board development training that addresses their specific needs,” said Stephanie Masters of Nonprofit SideKick. “Every session will provide tools, best practices, and actionable steps that align with each organization's goals.”
