Community Foundation Announces Community PILLARS Class of 2024


Eighty Four, PA - The Washington County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the Community PILLARS Class of 2024. This charity governance certificate program was developed to help improve the governance practices of charities in Washington County.

Members of the Class of 2024 include: Jeanine DeBor, Pennsylvania Trolley Museum; Melissa Rohm, New Life Options; Teresa Burroughs, LeMoyne Community Center; Cherise Sandrock, Food Helpers; Megan Fabyonic, WCCF; Stacy Hirst, PA Elks Major Projects; Brian Gorman, Summit Legal Aid; Kelley Storey, SPHS; Patti Knapp, Little Lake Theatre Company; Omar Brooks, PA VetPets; Megan Luisi, Vision Services of Washington-Greene; Jessica Tennant, United Way of Washington County; Cherie Sears, Village of FPC; Trisha Schum, Washington City Mission; Nikki Sarchet, Heritage Public Library; & Amanda Bilitski, Watchful Shepherd.

The PILLARS program provides in-depth educational sessions taught by local content experts on six broad governance topics as follows: I. Mission, Strategy & Evaluation, II. Governance & Leadership: Board, Staff & Volunteers, III. Legal Compliance & Ethics, IV. Finance & Operations, V. Fundraising & Resource Development, and VI. Public Awareness & Advocacy.
