Nearly $310,000 in Scholarships Available from WCCF
The Washington County Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for its more than 40 post-secondary scholarships. Each scholarship is unique, according to its donor’s wishes. The scholarships target students graduating from specific high schools, pursuing specific areas of study, and demonstrating financial need. Students are encouraged to learn more about each of the available scholarships by visiting www.wccf.net.

Dollar Bank Donates $30,000 to WCCF Education Funds
Dollar Bank is supporting local students by contributing $30,000 to Washington County Community Foundation’s education programs. Dollar Bank designated $20,000 for the EOS Fundand$10,000 for the ESO Fund.

WCCF, Washington Wild Things Partner to Offer Charity Suite
The Washington County Community Foundation and Washington Wild Things are partnering again to offer one “suite” deal to local charitable groups. The Washington Wild Things, the only Minor League baseball team in western Pennsylvania, has donated use of one of the luxury suites at Wild Things Park to the WCCF for the entire 2020 regular season. In turn, the WCCF will coordinate use of the Charity Suite by local charitable groups.

WCCF Receives National Recognition for Philanthropic Excellence
The Washington County Community Foundation has received reaccreditation with the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations® for achieving the highest standard in philanthropic excellence. It was one of the first community foundations in the country to be accredited when the National Standards were adopted in 2000.

Nominations Sought for WCCF Awards
The Washington County Community Foundation is currently accepting nominations for its annual Dr. Howard Jack Outstanding Public Educator Award and Louis E. Waller Humanitarian Award. Criteria and nominations forms for each award are available on www.wccf.net. Nominations will be accepted until Monday, February 17.

$125,000 Contribution Fuels Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund Grant Cycle
The Washington County Community Foundation today announced a $125,000 gift from Range Resources for continued support of the Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund. Established in 2018 by its namesake, the fund supports fire departments and emergency management services organizations in Range’s core operating area. Annual support is provided through the partnership of Range and its many contractors.
