Community Foundation Accepting Applications for Capacity-Building Grants

Eighty Four, PA – The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is currently accepting applications for capacity-building grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. At least $500,000 will be awarded through two competitive cycles in 2025, with initial applications due by April 1 or October 1.

Capacity-building includes activities that enhance a nonprofit’s operational, programmatic, financial, or organizational maturity.

The grants are primarily intended for 501(c)(3) charities, though other nonprofits requesting support for a charitable project, as defined by the IRS, may also be considered. Applications must be submitted via the Foundation’s website at wccf.net.

“The current funding priority areas for the WCCF Capacity-Building Grant cycle are financial process improvement, strategic plans, data management, and communications, including websites and marketing plans,” said Joann Naser, WCCF Manager of Nonprofit Leadership & Engagement. “We encourage interested nonprofits to reach out to the Foundation office before applying to discuss their proposal.”

Questions may be directed to the Foundation at 724-222-6330 or allocations@wccf.net.
