In 2024, the North Strabane Township Volunteer Fire Department purchased an automated external defibrillator with its grant.

Eighty Four, PA - The Washington County Community Foundation (WCCF) is pleased to announce that $200,000 in grants will be available again this year from the Range Resources Good Neighbors Fund.

Cumulatively, the fund has awarded over $983,000 to local first responder organizations through the partnership of Range Resources and its many contractors. Grants awarded through the fund have been used to purchase vital necessities and gear for first responders. This has included ballistic shields, turnout gear, breathing apparatus equipment, thermal imaging cameras, video surveillance cameras, and rescue equipment.

“We want to support causes that support our community and neighbors,” said Tony Gaudlip, Vice President of Range Resources’ Appalachia Division. “These funds directly assist our first responders and the essential services they provide to our neighborhoods. We’re also sincerely thankful to our business partners for their role in making the Good Neighbors Fund a reality.”

All exempt non-profit organizations providing emergency management services, such as fire departments and police departments, in Range’s core operating area are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $10,000. Eligible projects include support of an existing or new program or for equipment purchases. To apply, applicants should visit the Foundation’s website at www.wccf.net. The deadline to apply is Friday, January 31.
