The Chapmans greatly value education and created the Chapman Family Scholarship Fund in 2010 to encourage graduating seniors in Washington or Greene Counties to continue their education beyond high school.
To enable students of diverse backgrounds, interests and career goals to benefit, the scholarship is made available to students pursuing any post-secondary educational program. This includes trade and technical schools as well as colleges and universities offering associates or bachelors degree programs.
Each recipient is awarded a scholarship of no less than $1,000 and is eligible to receive an annual scholarship for three subsequent years, provided he or she continues to meet the eligibility requirements.
