Mission
Bentleyville Library provides service to over 9,500 borrowers of books and computer access for the period ending December 31, 2013.
Programs and Services
- The Bentleyville Public Library's mission is to provide an environment, resources, and program that inspire lifelong learning, advance knowledge, inspire the love of reading, and enhance the quality of life in our community.
- The Bentleyville Public Library has a collection of books, audio-books, magazines, DVDs and Blurays, eBooks and audio downloads, puppets, learning backpacks and so much more that can be checked out with a library card. We also have public computers and free internet access in the library building on your device, wireless printer, and fax services.
- We are a member of the Washington County Library System giving you access to a shared database that includes eBooks and downloadable audio along with a shared collection from Washington, Green, and Fayette County. This allows you to get items from one location and return them to another location. You have access to your account online to place holds, request items, renew, and set up email reminders.
- The library also has many different educational programs throughout the year for all ages including Book Club, Coffee & Crayons, Storytime, Summer Reading, Pathway of Pages, and so much more. The library also has a wonderful children’s area with educational items that families can explore and learn together.
- The library has gone beyond just books to become the learning center for the family and the Bentworth community!
