Investment Policy
The Foundation is governed by 15 Pa. C.S. Section 5548(c) and follows an Investment and Spending Policy that seeks to achieve a reasonable long‐term total return, consistent with acceptable investment risk, derived both from appreciation of capital and from earnings and distributions with respect to capital.
The Board has delegated detailed investment oversight to the Investment Committee, which meets on a regular basis to measure performance against established investment benchmarks and to ensure the portfolio is in compliance with the policy.
The Foundation has contracted with WesBanco Trust & Investment Services for investment of the primary investment portfolio. Other investment managers are utilized on a case-by-case basis. Investment returns are posted net of management fees.
